Wheatley’s Family

We wanted to express our thoughts about working with Esther McGee and her wonderful group of Wheaten Terriers. From our initial contact with Esther right through to the pick-up of our newest member of our family, we were kept well informed and up-to-date with frequent pictures, videos and emails.

Before the birth of our puppy, she sent us ultrasounds and pictures of the mother (Duchess) and the father (Riley).

Immediately following the birth, there were daily pictures and videos that were sent so that we could follow along with our puppy’s development. She answered all of our questions promptly and she openly shared with us her immense knowledge about Wheatens and dogs in general.

Once our puppy was born, Esther worked with his mother, Duchess, to help train him and get him used to routines. When we picked him up at the 8 week mark, our puppy was used to crates, had experiences outdoors, was well on his way to being toilet trained and was well socialized with his littermates. He had already developed a meal routine and she had spent a lot of time doing ‘bonding’ exercises with him so that he had a really lovely temperament with adults and children.

He has adjusted extremely well to his ‘forever’ home and we are so happy that he has joined our family. We would highly recommend Erinisle Wheatens and Esther McGee to anyone who is searching for a Wheaten Terrier. She was very professional and accommodating during the entire process and her group of Wheatens are so lovely and well-behaved.
