Our beloved first Wheaten died six years ago. Finally I was emotionally ready to let another Wheaten into my life but our trusted, highly-regarded and respected-in-the-industry breeder had moved to the USA, so it was back to the drawing board, researching a Wheaten breeder I could feel good about and trust. After a thorough investigation I confidently chose Erinisle Wheatens.

From my very first phone call—speaking with D’Arcy, for Esther wasn’t home—I instinctively knew I’d chosen correctly. D’Arcy took the time to answer all my questions in a kind, empathetic and informative way. Esther’s reply followed later that same day and during that conversation it came out that she received breeder instruction from my first Wheaten’s breeder! A comforting and lucky good omen, indeed. Throughout Duchess’ pregnancy Esther diligently kept me abreast with regular progress reports that even included ultrasound pics. I felt a connected part of my new puppy’s life even before he was born. And from the day puppy was born, and for the eight weeks that followed, Esther’s thoughtfulness and, quite frankly, superb “customer” service, continued by way of a mix of daily emailed pics and videos, and prompt replies to my phone call or emailed questions. And I had plenty! I saw the whole arc of the puppies’ first eight weeks, thanks to the dedication of these two lovely, friendly and professional people. Esther and D’Arcy’s home and grounds are clean and tidy, with a vibe of warmth, caring and thoughtfulness that is evident even before passing over the threshold. You just know there are puppies in there being raised in the best possible way. Their first-and-foremost concern is raising healthy and happy pups to pass along to caring and committed owners. Their rules are strict regarding relating directly to the puppies on visits, and being worthy of ownership (requiring that potential owners complete a detailed questionnaire)—and rightfully so! You want a breeder who cares that much… who earnestly and passionately cares about how their newborn puppies are handled by visitors and how they will be treated by their new families. This is a good thing! I have every confidence that Erinisle Wheatens is one of the best breeders in the province and perhaps country. And the fact that Esther and D’Arcy openly invite and encourage their clients to stay in touch through the years is icing on the cake. If you wish to connect, to hear me further “wax poetic” about Esther, D’Arcy and Erinisle Wheatens, feel free to reach out to me. I’d be happy to share more of my over-the-top positive experience.
